BIRDIEBALL

What is BirdieBall?

BirdieBall is a limited flight golf ball that feels and flies exactly like a normal golf ball but only travels around 40 metres with a 7-iron.

How far does a BirdieBall go?

BirdieBall flies around 40 metres with a 7-iron.  The increase/decrease in distance when using other clubs will vary according to player skill and external forces like wind but the approximate difference in distance between irons is around 2 metres.  Mike Dobbyn, REMAX Long Drive champion of 2008 is the current holder of the world record for the longest drive with a BirdieBall - 78 yards.

Can I use my driver with a BirdieBall?

You sure can.  The VelocityTee Set comes with two BirdieBall-specific tees which allow you to use driver and fairway/rescue metals.  The tees are made of a durable long-lasting foam that will endure thousands of strikes.  A VelocityTee Set also includes one BirdieBall.

STRIKEPAD

What is the StrikePad

The StrikePad is a light-weight, durable polymer mat that can be used as a surface to hit the BirdieBall from.  It is flexible and cambered in order to create the feeling of taking a divot immediately after impact.  It protects lawns and floors from damage and enables you to hit BirdieBalls from any surface without risk of injury or damage to your clubs.

What are the benefits of using a StrikePad?

The StrikePad does a number of things.  It protects the surface you are playing from.  It allows you to play from hard surfaces like concrete without damage to your clubs. It has a template of the correct swing path printed on its surface for both right and left handed players to visually reinforce the correct path of your clubhead through impact.  It weighs only 600 grams so you can easily take it with you anywhere.

Do I need a StrikePad to use BirdieBalls?

No, you don't.  The StrikePad is an optional extra and BirdieBalls can be played directly off the grass.
